Andrew Helm: Waiter in charge on the Cincinnatian

Andrew entered service for the B&O in 1929 as a waiter. During World War II, he joined the Army and served from 1940-1945. Helm served in North Africa and Italy, reaching the rank of staff sergeant. He rejoined the B&O following the war and served on the B&O's Shenandoah. He transferred to the New Cincinnatian Streamliner in 1947. Helm was featured in the July 1949 B&O Magazine for "doing his part" being a super salesman, selling the B&O's freight service to patrons.
