Thurgood Marshall
Supreme Court Justice Thurgood Marshall worked for the B&O Railroad! He was a second generation B&O employe. His father, William Canfield Marshall and uncle Fearless Mentor Williams also worked for the B&O. Records indicate Thurgood worked as a waiter for the railroad at Camden Station during the summers of 1926-1929. He would go on to become a pioneering lawyer working as the Chief Counsel for the NAACP, was appointed to the US Cour of Appeals, the US Solicitor General, and eventually became the first African American appointed as an Associate Judge to the Supreme Court.
