Harry began his career with the B&O in 1901 serving as a baggage and mail porter. He was selected to represent B&O porters during the 100^th anniversary celebration known as the Fair of the Iron Horse. It was said “he could throw his voice like a professional.” He retired in 1942 after 41 years of service.
