eman, and
finally retiring as Superintendent of Locomotive Operations. His
knowledge of both steam and diesel electric locomotives was iconic and
he was a well-respected expert in the railroad industry. After spending
40 years with the railroad, he began his next career volunteering at the
B&O Railroad Museum. He was able to share his immense knowledge
with staff, docents, and visitors at the museum for more than 20 years.
We were fortunate enough to have completed an oral history project with
him to preserve some of this knowledge for future generations. Today you
can still see and hear Harry in our Dynamometer Car where we have a
video playing of Harry giving a tour of the car. We are so thankful for
the years of knowledge and friendship he gave us.
